Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued a solicitation for Document Shredding Services. The period of performance is from August 16, 2024, to August 15, 2025, with four option years. The contract is unrestricted and the total award amount is $16.5 million. The contracting office is the Network Contracting Office 6 of the VA.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide annual document shredding services at various VA medical centers and clinics. This includes on-site shredding, pick up and emptying of containers, and compliance with all directives. The contractor must develop a Document Shredding Plan for approval and provide method of final destruction. They are also required to provide certificates of interim and final destruction, as well as monthly poundage reports of recyclables.
Additionally, the contractor must ensure compliance with HIPAA privacy rules and federal, state, and local regulations.

The period of performance for the contract is from August 16, 2024, to August 15, 2025, with four option years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Charles George Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Asheville NC, VA Franklin Outpatient clinic in Franklin NC, HBPC clinic in Franklin NC, Outpatient clinic in Rutherfordton NC, and Hickory CBOC in Hickory NC.
