Background
The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking Medical Consultant services through a Request for Quote. The services involve the independent review of disability claims and non-case services by licensed physicians in various medical specialties.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide medical consulting services in the specialties of Cardiology, General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pulmonology, and/or Rheumatology for the SSA. The contractor will review disability claims and complete documentation of impairment severity and limitations based on SSA’s Program Operations Manual System (POMS). The contractor shall also provide medical reviews as part of the Federal Quality Review Process under POMS.
Additionally, contractors may be required to perform non-case services such as participating in presentations related to their medical specialty, providing consultation on policy development issues, and assisting in providing one-on-one orientation to other Medical Consultants.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is from August 1, 2024 or Date of Award (whichever is later) to May 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract specifies that the medical consulting services will be performed for the Social Security Administration (SSA) in Headquarters.
