Description

The Federal Protective Service Acquisitions Division intends to issue a sole source extension of up to six months to the current ordering period of an existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract, 70RFP218DEC000009, with Paragon Systems (13900 Lincoln Park Drive, Herndon, VA 20171}. This proposed extension will provide for continued protective security officer services in the Washington DC area to allow time to award and transition the follow-on effort for these services.

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Paragon Systems under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304 (a)(l) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A Request for Proposal (RFP) will not be made
available. A Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be posted to sam.gov following award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 561612 (Security Guards and Patrol Services) and the Small Business Size Standard is $29 million.

Background
The Federal Protective Service (FPS), part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is responsible for protecting federal facilities and personnel. The FPS intends to extend the ordering period of an existing indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with Golden SVCS, LLC for Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services in Washington DC. This extension is necessary to ensure continuity of security services while a competitive follow-on contract is awarded and transitioned.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services at four sites in Washington DC. The extension will allow for continued critical PSO services from April 1, 2025, through June 30, 2025. The current contract is set to expire on March 31, 2025, and this modification will ensure that there is no disruption in security services during the transition to a new contractor. The estimated total value for this extension is $2,299,826.22.
