The objectives of Comprehensive Oversight Review and Technical Assistance Program are to examine how recipients of FTA funds comply with statutory and administrative requirements, in accordance with 49 U.S.C. Chapter 53. CORTAP examines 23 areas to determine if FTA recipients are meeting FTA requirements and to identify corrective actions if a recipient is not meeting the requirements. In addition to evaluating recipients, the review gives FTA an opportunity to provide current information to recipients on the latest FTA procurement requirements and assists FTA in reporting to the Secretary, Congress, other oversight agencies (DOT Office of Inspector General) and the transit community.

Background
The Comprehensive Oversight Review and Technical Assistance Program (CORTAP) aims to examine how recipients of FTA funds comply with statutory and administrative requirements, in accordance with 49 U.S.C. Chapter 53. The program evaluates recipients in 23 areas to determine if they are meeting FTA requirements and to identify corrective actions if they are not.
Additionally, the review provides an opportunity for FTA to provide current information to recipients on the latest FTA procurement requirements and assists FTA in reporting to various oversight agencies and the transit community.

Work Details
The Pre-Solicitation/Industry Day virtual conference for the CORTAP requirement will be conducted on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm (EST). Interested parties must register for the event by Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
The conference will provide informational material only and will not provide compensation for attendance. Attendees are not allowed to videotape or record the conference. This notice does not indicate a commitment by the U.S. Department of Transportation/Federal Transit Administration to enter into any agreement or issue any requirement concerning the subject of this notice.
