Pre-Solicitation - Hangar Ceiling Fans

Background
This Synopsis is a Pre-Solicitation Notice for Luke Air Force Base's Hangar Ceiling Fan requirement. The solicitation will be posted as a brand name or equal requirement. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, training, and shipping necessary to fulfill this order.

Work Details
1. OVERVIEW
1.1 The purpose of this project is to limit the operational range of Bld 1022 maintenance hangar hoist’s trolly operational range to a singular southernmost aircraft parking spot and install two ceiling mounted Hangar ceiling fans.
1.2 The installation of the Hangar ceiling fans will enable greater airflow into the hangar to cool personnel during summer months. This facility currently lacks any form of cooling capability such as swamp coolers. Additionally, due to the facilities limited size, floor fans occupy valuable floor space that is in need to store mission support equipment. Finally, limiting the range of the maintenance hangar’s hoist is necessary and will enable installation of the ceiling mounted Hangar ceiling fans due to the hoist trolly traveling the full length of the hangar and the lack of adequate clearance between the rafters and trolly for fan installation. All hoist limitation installation are reversible.

2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
2.1 This project includes all necessary removal, installation, inspection, and disposal of excess materials/hardware.
2.2 Performance Period: all work shall be completed within 30 calendar days after award.
2.3 All services required are defined as follows:
2.3.1 Perform a pre-job meeting to determine jobsite logistics and safety requirements.
2.3.2 Furnish proposed construction schedule.
2.3.3 Furnish and install proper safety equipment.
2.3.4 Verify the room finish schedule, specifications, dimensions, obstacles, and details exist as defined within the bid.
2.3.5 Receive delivery of materials at building 1022.
2.3.6 Previously contracted Orbit company is to install three end stops, one per rail, to limit the operational range to just the southernmost aircraft parking spot in Bld 1022s maintenance hangar.
2.3.7 After hoist range limitation is completed by the Orbit company, two 18 ft Hangar ceiling fans will be installed.

Period of Performance
All work shall be completed within 30 calendar days after award.
