Background
The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base (TAFB) is seeking to establish a Firm Fixed Price contract for Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) services.

The mission of the squadron is to support the Civil Engineering Squadron by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of VTE at TAFB. The goal of this contract is to provide comprehensive repair services for various types of VTE, including freight and passenger elevators, wheelchair lifts, and dumbwaiters.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform both emergency and non-emergency repairs on VTE at TAFB.

All repairs must comply with American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) elevator codes and manufacturer’s recommendations. The Contractor is required to prepare and submit a detailed report within five business days after inspections, identifying each unit of equipment, location, work performed, repairs needed, date of inspection, name of technician, and overall condition of the equipment. Emergency repairs must be available 24/7. The Contractor must maintain an adequate workforce during normal working hours (07:00-16:00 Monday through Friday) and ensure that a Certified Competent Conveyance Mechanic (CCCM) with at least 10 years of experience is available within 30 miles of TAFB. A parts inventory warehouse valued at $50,000 or more must also be maintained within 50 miles from TAFB for emergency repairs.
