The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research in compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to establish a Blanket Purchase Agreement for the provision of Pharmacist Services for inmate population at the Bureau of Prison (BOP) facility known as Administrative United State Penitentiary (AUSP), Thomson. Additional information regarding AUSP Thomson is located at www.bop.gov. Pharmacist services will be performed in the Health Services Department at AUSP Thomson in Illinois. All expectations and duties are outlined in the attached Statement of Work. It is anticipated that a solicitation will be issued for the provision of Pharmacist services (SIN 621-027). The function of this service is to provide a wide range of pharmacy services that will provide Pharmacist coverage in the absence of the Chief Pharmacist / Staff Pharmacist during annual leave, extended medical/sick leave, and continued professional education. These services will be performed on an as needed basis, as determined by the health services department at AUSP Thomson. Work will be performed between the hours of 6:00 am and 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally consisting of six (6), one (1) hour sessions per day, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch period, (if applicable). The facility's need will vary based on leave and training requirements/requests of the Chief Pharmacist / Staff Pharmacist, but is expected to require an average of 40 sessions per month. The schedule is subject to change based on the variable needs of the institution and the unpredictable nature of the correctional environment. Upon agreement, any changes to the schedule must be coordinated with the COR assigned. However, the daily "call-out" will dictate the exact schedule and sessions required. A mutually agreed upon schedule will be determined following award. The Contractor may be subject to schedule changes and must be flexible. The Contractor will be available for emergencies as necessary. Please see the Statement of Work for further details and required credentials and experience.
