Perform descaling and eddy current test on all tubes of (4) 900 ton York chillers Amendment 0001 and 0002   2

Background
The VALLHCS has four 900-ton York chillers that were open and cleaned during the chillers annual inspection. The chillers were identified as having heavy scaling on the condenser side of chillers creating the loss of cooling from the chillers. An Eddy current test will be performed to identify if any flaws exist on the condenser tubes and to inspect the thickness of the condenser tubes.

Work Details
Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, materials, supplies, and tools to perform descaling and eddy current test on all tubes of (4) 900 ton York chillers located in chiller room 1-D at LLVAHCS. The work includes performing lockout tag to ensure all potential energy sources are secured, cordoning off the working area, providing safety data sheets, isolating and draining condenser barrels, circulating rydlyme through each chiller condenser barrels for descaling, draining and re-brushing the condenser tubes on all four chillers, performing eddy current test on all four chiller condenser tubes, pressurizing chiller condenser barrels to test for water leaks, running each individual chiller to test for proper operation after descaling, cleaning and disposing of trash and chemicals on approved dumping site off the VALLHCS Property, providing the results of the eddy current test.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from June 23, 2023 to December 23, 2023.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at VA Loma Linda, 11201 Benton St., Loma Linda, CA 92357.
