This is a sources sought post only.

We are looking for interested parties to potentially restore a magnificent piece of art for the Air Force Art Program. The goal is to bring this artwork to an exhibition ready state, suitable for display, according to museums standards. The potential contractor would coordinate, schedule, transport, and provide professional treatment consultation and assistance services required to evaluate, assess, and intervene as required (either by preservation, conservation and/or restoration) to this Department of the Air Force artwork.

The painting is titled "Here I Am - Send Me" and is currently on display at the Pentagon (Since 1967). The painting is large. Approx 103 inches wide and 74 inches tall. Pictures are attached to this announcement to give potential respondees a general idea of the current condition. The site visit has already concluded. Attached are answers to questions submitted and an updated draft Statement of Objectives.

We are encouraging any and all interested vendors who may be able to do all or part of this requirement to respond.

Respondees are requested to address the following:

SAM UEI, small business socio-economic status (SB/SDVOSB/WOSB/ETC) and POC information.

Ability to perform restoration to Exhibition Ready status.

Ability to transport painting to and from restoration location and Pentagon.

Provide cost estimate (We are requesting for this due to bugetary contraints & need to be able to support our arguments with market prices).

Background
The Department of the Air Force is seeking interested parties to potentially restore a large painting titled 'Here I Am - Send Me' for the Air Force Art Program. The goal is to bring the artwork to an 'exhibition ready' state suitable for display in accordance with museum standards. The painting, created by artist Woodi Ishmael, has been on display at the Pentagon since 1967 and depicts an Air Force officer and his family in a chapel at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. General John P. McConnell officially unveiled the painting in 1967.

Work Details
The potential contractor would be responsible for coordinating, scheduling, transporting, and providing professional treatment consultation and assistance services required to evaluate, assess, and intervene as required (either by preservation, conservation and/or restoration) to this Department of the Air Force artwork. Interested vendors are requested to address their socio-economic status (SB/SDVOSB/WOSB/ETC) and provide proof of capability to perform restoration to Exhibition Ready status, transport the painting to and from the restoration location and Pentagon, as well as remove/hang the painting at the Pentagon.
