Project Description: This project scope is to demolish the existing Pedestrian bridge over the Northwest Branch Anacostia and replacing the bridge with a new bridge to the west of the existing bridge. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is a competitive, Firm-Fixed-Price, Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA); NAICS 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction with a size standard of $45,000,000.00. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Magnitude of Construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Background
The Pedestrian Bridge Relocation Project is initiated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, aimed at enhancing the infrastructure within the Anacostia Watershed Restoration area in Prince George's County. The project focuses on demolishing an existing pedestrian bridge over the Northwest Branch Anacostia and constructing a new bridge to improve stability and flow conveyance in the stream, thereby supporting the agency's mission of environmental restoration and community accessibility.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Demolition of the existing pedestrian bridge over the Northwest Branch Anacostia.

2. Construction of a new pedestrian bridge located to the west of the existing structure, designed to be perpendicular to the stream on a riffle to enhance stability and flow conveyance.

3. Development of a new paved trail in Adelphi Community Park for access to the new bridge.

The project area is situated north of Lyndon Street and West Park Avenue, with all access points from West Park Avenue.

Period of Performance
The contractor is expected to begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and complete all work within 547 calendar days following award.
