Description

Purchase and installation of a third centrally managed alarmed Protected Distribution System (PDS) drop box is required. The contractor installation will comply with Air Force Systems Security Instruction (AFSSI) 7702 and AFSSI 7703 requirements. Network Integrity Systems has already installed two Protected Distribution Systems on Kirtland AFB that allows AFIT/EXA to connect to AFIA's servers and participate in the vendor's 24/7 service contract with AFIA. This will save $70,000 in up-front server costs, plus an additional $10,000 every year (beginning in Year 1) in 24/7 service-related costs.

Background
The 377 Mission Support Group Contracting Office, Kirtland AFB, New Mexico intends to award a sole source contract to Network Integrity Systems for the purchase and installation of a third centrally managed alarmed Protected Distribution System (PDS) drop box. Network Integrity Systems has already installed two Protected Distribution Systems on Kirtland AFB that allows AFIT/EXA to connect to AFIA's servers and participate in the vendor's 24/7 service contract with AFIA.
