Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a solicitation for construction services related to Parking Lot Paving, Access Road Paving, and Parking Space Line Striping at Hodges Village Dam in Oxford, MA.

The agency's mission is to provide essential public infrastructure and ensure the safety and functionality of its facilities. The goal of this contract is to enhance the accessibility and usability of the parking areas at the dam site.

Work Details
The work consists of furnishing all equipment, materials, labor, and transportation necessary for: reclaiming and repaving the Hodges Village Dam public parking lot; expanding and paving the basin office parking lot; performing parking space line striping in the public parking lot; and an optional task of asphalt reclaiming and repaving of the access road.

Specific tasks include:
- Removal of grass, topsoil, roots, and stones in preparation for paving.
- Expansion of the basin office parking lot by approximately 20 feet in length and 4 feet in width.
- Installation of a base course that extends 6 inches beyond the edge of pavement.
- Compaction of base course to 95% maximum density as per ASTM D1557.
- Ensuring a minimum 2% slope for proper drainage.
- Application of thermoplastic striping paint for parking spaces with specific color requirements for handicap spaces.
- Compliance with safety regulations including submission of an Accident Prevention Plan and other required documentation prior to commencement.

Period of Performance
The period of performance shall be completed no later than 90 days after Notice to Proceed. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with no work permitted on weekends or government holidays.
