Park Attendant #1, Buffumville Lake, Charlton, MA

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - New England District is issuing a solicitation for Park Attendant services at Buffumville Lake, located in Charlton, Massachusetts.

The mission of the Corps is to provide vital public engineering services in peace and war to strengthen the nation’s security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters. The goal of this contract is to ensure the daily operation and maintenance of Buffumville Lake Park, enhancing visitor experience and safety.

Work Details
The Contractor (Park Attendants) shall be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of Buffumville Lake Park. This includes:

- Fee collection at the entrance station
- Daily cash outs
- Checking the cleanliness of park restrooms and facilities
- Litter pick up in the park and at the boat ramp.

Work will be performed by a team of two individuals. The park features a swim beach, picnic tables, grills, a volleyball court, horseshoe/corn hole pits, and restrooms for public use. The Contractor will also conduct safety meetings, prepare an Accident Prevention Plan (APP), and ensure compliance with safety regulations as outlined in EM 385-1-1.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance shall be from contract award through September 30, 2025. Seasonal work will occur from May 16, 2025 to September 14, 2025, with specified working days being Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., including two federal holidays.
