Naval surface Warfare Center Carderock division intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Pan Optimization for the procurement of PanX DED Software License for a base with 2 option years on a Sole Source basis.

Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is responsible for research and development in welding, additive manufacturing, and material processing. They provide engineering and technical support to various Department of Defense (DoD) organizations.

This contract aims to procure the PanX DED software tool from Pan Optimization, which will enhance large-scale additive manufacturing simulation capabilities at NSWCCD and facilitate advanced analytics through software code integration. The software is critical for supporting the Nickel Aluminum Bronze Advanced Manufacturing funded Maritime Industrial Base (MIB) program.

Work Details
The contract includes the procurement of the PanX DED Software License with the following specifications:

1.0 Minimum Requirements - The software must enable high-throughput computations for directed energy deposition additive manufacturing processes, allow parallel computations, possess a graphical user interface (GUI), and include example datasets for user training.

2.0 License Details:
- Base Year License: Award date through 30 April 2026
- Option Year License 1: 1 May 2026 through 30 April 2027
- Option Year License 2: 1 May 2027 through 30 April 2028

3.0 Performance and Delivery: Digital download of the software will be available within 15 days of contract award, coordinated by NSWCCD Code 6110 with Pan Optimization.

Period of Performance
Base Year: Award date through 30 April 2026; Option Year 1: 1 May 2026 through 30 April 2027; Option Year 2: 1 May 2027 through 30 April 2028.
