Packing Crating & Drayage Services at Cannon AFB NM

Background
This solicitation is issued by the 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron (SOCONS) for the Department of the Air Force. The goal of this contract is to secure packing, crating, and local drayage services at Cannon AFB, New Mexico, as part of a Multiple Award Blanket Purchase Agreement.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials necessary for the preparation of personal property shipments for Department of Defense (DoD) personnel. Key tasks include:

1. Conducting pre-move surveys to assess the nature of personal property;
2. Weighing shipments using certified scales;
3. Ensuring timely pickup and delivery;
4. Preparing, packing, loading, and containerizing personal property;
5. Tagging and inventorying items;
6. Servicing appliances as needed;
7. Providing containers and vehicles for transport;
8. Marking exterior shipping containers appropriately;
9. Handling outbound documentation and movement logistics;
10. Offering storage solutions if required;
11. Ensuring cargo insurance coverage;
12. Managing delivery, unloading, and unpacking processes;
13. Addressing claims related to lost or damaged items during transit;
14. Subcontracting services as necessary; and
15. Performing drayage services as outlined in the contract.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from November 1, 2024, to October 31, 2027, consisting of one base year with two option years.
