Background
The contract is issued by the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) for the construction of a new Bachelor Enlisted Quarters and Support Facility at Marine Barracks Washington, DC. The goal of this project is to provide Unaccompanied Enlisted Housing (UH) along with various support facilities to enhance the living conditions for enlisted personnel. This solicitation is restricted to specific large contractors who are part of the Large Multiple Award Construction Contract (LMACC).

Work Details
The work involves a design-bid-build project that includes the construction of a multi-rise, mixed-use steel frame, brick-clad facility. Key components include:

- 125 rooms with semi-private baths in a standard 2+0 configuration for unaccompanied housing;
- A dining hall;
- A fitness center featuring group exercise rooms, weight rooms, locker rooms, and administrative spaces;
- An armory;
- A non-commissioned officer (NCO) club.

The community areas will be equipped with laundry facilities, lounges, administrative offices, housekeeping areas, and public restrooms. Additionally, the facility will incorporate cybersecurity features in compliance with current Department of Defense (DoD) criteria.

Period of Performance
The estimated completion time for construction is within 979 calendar days after the issuance of the Construction Notice to Proceed (NTP), which is anticipated to be approximately 120 days post-award.
