**** AMENDED SPECIAL NOTICE TO INCLUDE ALL FOUR OPTION YEARS **** The purpose of this amended special notice is to synopsize the 3rd and 4th option years in accordance with FAR Part 5.207(c)(4). The original synopsis only contained the base year, option 1, and option 2, however the award included all four option years. The additional option years listed below are shown as the actual awarded option year dates. ******************* The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) is conducting market research for debris removal at Franklin D. Roosevelt Reservoir, located by Grand Coulee, Washington. The principal components of work would include: Debris removal at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Reservoir, located by Grand Coulee, Washington. Reclamation has debris collection facilities and a disposal facility on Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake (the part of the Columbia River behind the Grand Coulee Dam), near the town of Kettle Falls, Washington. The collection facilities are currently located at the mouth of the Kettle River (at approximately River Mile 707) and at China Bar (at approximately River Mile 724). The disposal facility is located at Boise Cove, downstream from the mouth of the Kettle River (at approximately River Mile 702). The collection facilities capture floating debris which principally consists of logs, snags, and slash from upriver logging, uprooted trees and brush from riverbank undercutting, and miscellaneous floating debris and garbage. Debris from the collection facilities is bagged with boom logs and towed to Boise Cove. A concrete access ramp at Boise Cove allows access to the debris for removal from the lake, depending on the Lake level. The debris is then processed for final disposal. This contract is for the collection and disposal of debris. The annual debris collection over a recent four (4) year period is as follows: 2013 - 2706 tons 2014 - 886 tons 2015 - 877 tons 2016 - 1469 tons The anticipated period of performance is: Base Year. December 1, 2017 to November 30, 2018 Option Year One. December 1, 2018 to November 30, 2019 Option Year Two. December 1, 2019 to November 30, 2020 OPTION YEAR THREE APRIL 1, 2021 TO MARCH 31, 2022 OPTION YEAR FOUR APRIL 1, 2022 TO MARCH 31, 2023 The intent of this notice is to identify potential vendors to provide debris removal services at Franklin D. Roosevelt Reservoir. Interested vendors are invited to submit the following information: Statement of interest as a prime and/or subcontractor Point of contact information Size status and/or SBA certification program for NAICS 562119, Other Waste Collection Information on your ability to collect, move and dispose of the debris. This market research is for informational purposes only. This announcement does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement action will be issued, and shall not be construed as a Request for Quote, or as an obligation on the part of the Government. No entitlement to payment will arise as a result of the submission of contractor information.
