OSC Forensic Support

Background
This is a non-personnel service contract to provide a broad range of technical, scientific and professional engineering advisory and assistance services to the Defense Forensic Science Center, Office of the Chief Scientist (DFSC OCS) located on the Gillem Enclave at Forest Park, GA. The Contractor shall perform services to the standards of this Performance Work Statement (PWS) and such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the Contractor who, in turn is responsible to minimize loss of experience and continuity by contracting for services to support the OCS RDT&E program management mission.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all necessary management, supervision, equipment, and other labor required to successfully perform non-personal services for DFSC Research Scientist/Analyst in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and other areas of the solicitation. The tasks include preparing for science and technology meetings, workshops, conferences, and site visits; conducting literature searches; analyzing reports and scientific papers; developing, reviewing, and evaluating research proposals; maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers; providing input and recommendations summarizing accomplishments; executing research plans; establishing research priorities and deadlines; performing sophisticated laboratory techniques using emerging technologies.

Period of Performance
The contract shall be for a period of one (1) base year of 12 months performance, 28 March 2022 – 27 March 2023, with two (2) 12-months option years.

Place of Performance
The principal work to be performed under this contract shall be at the DFSC located on the Gillem Enclave, Forest Park GA.
