The IX system supplier (Supplier) shall be responsible for design, fabrication, factory assembly, and delivery of complete IX systems including all mechanical components, vessels, inter-vessel manifold piping, and instrumentation described in the Stamemt of Work (SOW).

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing a contract for the design, fabrication, factory assembly, and delivery of complete Ion Exchange (IX) systems for the Orangevale Water Filtration System.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the provision of a fully operational water treatment system that meets specified requirements for water filtration and treatment.

Work Details
The IX system supplier shall be responsible for the following components:
- Two downflow adsorber vessels interconnected with manifold piping allowing for series or parallel flow operation.
- Interior lining and exterior prime and finish coating of the vessels.
- Process and utility piping, valves, and accessories integral to operation of the two-vessel system.
- Independent media fill and discharge piping with flush nozzles.
- Vent and pressure relief piping.
- Pneumatic connections for media transfers.
- Nozzles required for chemical disinfection of the media.
- Pressure gauges, sample ports, spray nozzle for media vessel washdown, and independent magnetic flow meter for each vessel.

The Supplier will also provide fabrication and delivery of the treatment system along with ion exchange resin.

The Contractor will handle offloading, field assembly, leak testing, disinfection prior to media fill, installation of stainless steel anchor bolts, and confirmation bacteriological testing after initial disinfection.

Period of Performance
Delivery by the supplier to the construction site shall be completed no later than 2 weeks after requested by the Contractor.
