O'Neill Federal Building EVSE Project   2

Background
The project involves the installation of electric vehicle charging stations at the O'Neill Federal Building in Boston, MA.

The justification for this sole source award is provided in the attached documentation. The initiative aims to enhance electric vehicle infrastructure, aligning with broader goals of promoting clean energy and reducing carbon emissions.

Work Details
The scope of work includes the following tasks:

(1) Installation of make-ready infrastructure on the utility side of the meter at 100% cost coverage;

(2) Installation costs on the customer side of the meter up to 100% of average costs, not exceeding actual installation costs;

(3) For Level 2 Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), full coverage for up to ten ports in Environmental Justice (EJ) communities, with partial coverage for additional ports in municipalities and other areas;

(4) Public Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) EVSE installations in EJ communities with specific cost caps based on power output;

(5) Provision for four years of networking services for municipal Level 2 and DCFC customers;

(6) Support for four to five charging hubs with approximately four 175 kW DCFCs in EJ communities; and

(7) Financial incentives for residential installations, including up to 100% coverage for low-income customers and those in EJ communities. The project also includes a marketing and outreach plan to ensure stakeholder engagement.

The construction projects will be performed at the O'Neill Federal Building located in Boston, Massachusetts.
