Cyberspace Squadron is seeking solution to sustain our current licensing, 24/7 telephone support of our current SIPRNet Virtual
Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) & Virtualized Data Center VMware environments operating on both NIPRNet & SIPRNet Enclaves.
The requirement will include having on-site quarterly health checks of all Virtual Environments listed in this requirement
performed by certified VMware technicians. Lastly, the contract shall include a 1 year subscription to VMware On-Demand
Enterprise Learning for personnel to attend and gain advanced knowledge of VMware applications.

Attached updated Performance Work Statement (PWS). Within the PWS at the very end on attachment 1 there has been an edit made to the "Teradici" line item. Background
The 55th Cyberspace Squadron (55 CYS) at Offutt Air Force Base is seeking a solution to sustain their current licensing, 24/7 telephone support of their SIPRNet VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) & Virtualized Data Center environments operating on both NIPRNet & SIPRNet Enclaves. The requirement also includes adding a partial onsite VMware Technical Account Manager and three two-week engagements of VMware Senior Consultants during specific months in 2023 and 2024. Additionally, the contract shall include three 1-year subscriptions to VMware On-Demand Enterprise Learning for personnel to gain advanced knowledge of VMware applications.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide sustainment support for the current VDI and virtualized data center environments, including optimization of the digital workspace infrastructure configuration, hosting published applications and virtual desktops on-premises, rightsizing and VMware product optimization guidance. Consulting services such as assessing Horizon health and design, migration of legacy Horizon components, and updating Horizon to provide a desktop virtualization foundation are also part of the requirement.

The project involves assessment within the customer environment, deployment and verification of the solution, as well as knowledge transfer of the design, deployment, and operations procedures. The contractor will be responsible for getting the environment up to ESXi 7.x (including vSAN) and bringing Horizon to the latest version as time allows.
