Description

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is requesting information on offsite storage for media and shredding services.

This is a request for information (RFI) only - it does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), Request for Proposal (RFP), or Request for Quotes (RFQ). This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not commit the OCC to issue a solicitation (RFQ/RFP) or award a contract for any supply or service.

The OCC will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred to respond to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the respondents' expense. Those who respond to this RFI should not anticipate feedback concerning its submission other than acknowledgement of receipt if the submitter requests a request for acknowledgement.

The scope of work is to provide data tape storage in a safe, secure, and environmentally controlled location. The scope also includes secured tape library management and on demand medial handling and transportation. The contractor will enable the OCC to access the secured tape library management system as needed.

The OCC is requesting brief capability statements that address the following requirements:

  1. Does Contractor have a temperature and humidity controlled secure facility that is a minimum of 25 miles away from OCC primary Data Center (Ashburn VA)?
  2. .Is the Contactor site within 4 hours of the OCC primary data Center in the event of physical tape recall from company site?
  3. Does the Contractor have a professionally guarded / centrally monitored system at their facility with IDS controls (intrusion detection)?
  4. Does the Contractor follow NIST SP 800-171 or similar standard requirements for CUI data?
  5. Does the Contractor have transport vehicles that are secure, maintained and retrofitted for protecting magnetic CUI Media ?
  6. Does the Contractor have their own backup storage facility and Disaster Recovery plan?
  7. Does the Contractor have online tracking software tracking software and training as required to each OCC SSO and other authorized personnel to allow the Government real-time online access to media retention information and to be able to process personnel access changes, changes in media retention, and disaster recovery updates?
  8. In the event of a disaster or a disaster recovery test, does the contractor have the capability of secure transportation of the stored media to an alternate designated OCC Disaster Recovery processing site within limited time parameters?

Submission Requirements

Interested parties are requested to respond to this RFI with an electronic document that fulfills the requirements below.

  1. Company Background - Provide summary information including company name, DUNS number, CAGE code, GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contract(s) or Government-wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) contract number(s) (if applicable), and designated point of contact's name, title, email address and phone number.
  2. Company's Business Type Classification (e.g., large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business, HUBZone business, woman-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, etc.)
  3. Solution and Service Overview - Describe services available through your organization and provide a statement of capability demonstrating your ability to meet the requirements outlined in the requirement description above. Describe any other tasks/services you think are essential to the project as described.
  4. Previous Implementations - Describe previous successful engagements similar to the ones outlined above. Provide customer contact information where that solution was implemented including: contact name, organization, telephone number, and email address for each example that you provide.
  5. Other Information (e.g. commercial practices, market information, capabilities for planning purposes, subcontracting, etc.)
