NSN 5820-01-500-0556 Control, Radio Set Transfer

This is a market survey to locate sources of supply (manufacturers or suppliers) for NSN 5820-01-500-0556 Control, Radio Set Transfer, which is the Combat Survival Evader Locator (CSEL) Radio Set Adapter (RSA). It is a small suitcase of electronics with slots to insert the reference AN/PRQ-7 Hand-held Radio (HHR) and a target HHR to provide a physical interface between the HHR and other CSEL components. The RSA serves as the interface between the CSEL Planning Computer (CPC) and the reference HHR; the interfaces between the reference HHR and each target HHR; and the interface to the AN/CYZ-10 Data Transfer Device for GPS Key Fill.

Technical Data Package for manufacture and acceptance of this item is NOT available from the Government. This item is only defined by NSN and the Boeing Company's Part Number 4866123-101-1 (CAGE Code 94756).

Interested sources that are capable of manufacturing or supplying the item specified above must submit enough information to demonstrate their capability to manufacture or supply this item. At a minimum, information submitted should include but is not limited to the following types of documentation: drawing, test results and test procedures for this item demonstrating the interested sources' capability of supplying this item; copy of purchasing order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit that can be used with the AN/PRQ-7 and the CSEL CPC; and the responses to the questionnaire attached.

The information received from this market survey will be evaluated by the Government for the purpose of planning to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. The Government will also use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and to assist in making future acquisition strategy decisions. This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this SSA or reimburse interested sources or responders to this notice for any information received and any costs incurred in responding, or for subsequent exchanges of information. Information submitted does not constitute a proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, but will be considered an exchange of capabilities and ideas.
