Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking hazardous tree and debris removal services for the George Washington Memorial Parkway (GWMP). The goal of this contract is to ensure the safety and maintenance of park grounds by removing hazardous trees and debris, which may pose risks to visitors and the environment. This procurement is being conducted for the acquisition of commercial products and services, specifically targeting small businesses.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

1. **Hazardous Tree Removal**: The contractor shall remove hazardous trees identified in Attachment B: GWMP Hazardous Trees Excel Spreadsheet. Services must commence within seven days of award, with daily removal of wood/debris.

2. **Debris Removal**: On an as-needed basis, the contractor will remove approximately 10,000 cubic yards of organic debris to mitigate pollution sources from GWMP properties. This is an optional service that can be exercised during the contract period.

3. **Emergency Tree Removal**: The contractor must respond to emergency tree removal requests within four hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. All debris must be removed from NPS property. Approximately 1,120 labor hours are anticipated for this service.

4. **Vegetation Management**: The contractor shall manage vegetation by cutting and removing any growth near rock walls or guardrails and up to twenty-five feet from pavement edges. An estimated 1,000 labor hours are anticipated for this task.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract is from September 23, 2024, to September 22, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations along the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
