Notice of Intent to Award - Sole Source; TRAX enabled TRIK

The 673d Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska, intends to award a firm fixed price, single-source purchase order to Sierra Nevada Corp, 444 Salomon CIR Sparks, Nevada 89434, under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(2). The proposed contract action is to purchase SNC Tactical Radio Application Extension (TRAX) enabled Tactical Radio Integration Kit (TRIK) in accordance with (IAW) the attached salient characteristics document. No other manufacturer besides Sierra Nevada Corp have been found who can provide a product which can meet the salient characteristics.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation is available. The circumstances of this contract action deem only a single source is reasonably available to fulfill the stated requirement. Interested organizations who believe they can provide a product IAW the attached salient characteristics may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to james.barton.18@us.af.mil and beau.burton.2@us.af.mil no later than 4:00pm, AKDT, 12 September 2023. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications will not be accepted in response to this notice. No request for proposals or quotes will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
