Background
The USDA, Forest Service, Caribbean Climate Hub Support intends to sole source a contract to Aluma Tower Company INC for the provision of a telescopic tower and accessories. This decision is based on the determination that only one source is reasonably available for this requirement.

Work Details
The contract involves the delivery of a heavy-duty aluminum telescoping antenna tower with the following specifications:
- Designed to accommodate antennas with large wind surface areas of up to 18 sq. ft and a maximum payload capacity of 125 lbs.
- Tested for wind speeds up to 70 mph.
- Equipped with a universal rotor plate welded in place for compatibility with various commercially available rotors, allowing for orientation of abeam or other directional antennas.
- Features an 8 ft heavy-duty mast with a 2-inch diameter and 1/8 inch wall thickness.
- Includes guy ears on each section, a heavy-duty building bracket, and a tilt base.
- Maximum height with mast is 92 ft.
- Constructed with aluminum masts for easy attachment of antennas or instrumentation.
- Safety stops latch to relieve tension on cables and prevent unwanted retraction.
- Incorporates aluminum rollers to assist in extension and retraction.

The tower is retractable and has a tilting base.
