Background
The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), often called the 'congressional watchdog,' is an independent, non-partisan agency that works for Congress. GAO examines how taxpayer dollars are spent and provides Congress and federal agencies with objective, non-partisan, fact-based information to help save money and work more efficiently.

Work Details
The purpose of the contract is to provide a comprehensive, daily digital version of the media monitoring 'news-clippings service' and media analysis to support the Office of Public Affairs at GAO. The news-clippings service is required to capture mentions of GAO and the current U.S. Comptroller General in the news from all media categories (print, broadcast, web-based, social media, etc.). The contractor shall provide a quality assurance plan for product content review, full-viewing access to streaming broadcast clips, utilize a search-string strategy, eliminate duplicate articles and segments, provide a maximum number of thirty-five news items daily, and conduct human review of product content each delivery day.
Additionally, the contractor shall provide media measurements allowing GAO to run reports as needed or schedule reports to be emailed to GAO employees on a regular basis.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2029. It includes a base year (July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025) and four option years (July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026; July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027; July 1, 2027 - June 30, 2028; July 1, 2028 - June 30, 2029).

The contract will be performed at various locations as it involves capturing mentions of GAO and the U.S. Comptroller General in the news from all media categories.
