Background
The U.S. Army Engineer District, Mobile is issuing a new competitive Design-Build Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) for renovation, repair, and new construction in the Gulf Coast Area. This contract aims to support the installation mission requirements of the Mobile District and is set aside for HUBZone small businesses. The goal is to provide a quick and cost-effective response to various construction needs within the district's area of responsibility.

Work Details
The contract encompasses a full range of construction tasks including renovation, alterations, repairs, and new construction. Specific types of projects may include administrative facilities, academic facilities, base support shops, physical fitness centers, vehicle maintenance shops, lodging facilities (barracks and dormitories), food service facilities, medical facilities, public safety structures (police and fire stations), airfield structures (hangars and control towers), and research facilities.

The contractor will be responsible for obtaining necessary environmental permits, achieving LEED certification, and conducting surveys for lead-based paint and asbestos. Work will be performed under individual Task Orders that will specify detailed requirements including design efforts which may need to be completed by the contractor if not fully designed prior to award.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of five years from the date of award.

The geographic location for performance is primarily within the Gulf Coast Area as defined by the Mobile District.
