Background
The Portland VAMC requires Neuromuscular Blockade Monitor Equipment, including all items listed in the B.2 Price/Cost Schedule, in accordance with the attached Salient Characteristics. The equipment is intended for use in monitoring paralysis in patients receiving general anesthesia with an endotracheal tube. The current devices used for monitoring paralysis are inadequate and there is a better technology available for purchase. The solicitation is issued by the NCO 20 Network Contracting Office.
