Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division Total Ship Survivability Trial Engineering Services

Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division’s (NSWCCD’s) Vulnerability Assessment Branch, Code 665, requires a two-year contract (base year with on one-year option) to provide engineering/science services to support Code 665 with C5I planning, development, execution, and reporting efforts for the CVN 78 Class Total Ship Survivability Trial (TSST). This purchase supports NAVSEA’s CVN 78 Live Fire Test and Evaluation (LFT&E) Program.

Work Details
The contractor shall assume and continue to perform CVN 78 Class FSST- and TSST-related support services initiated under the scope of expired contract N003919D0033 N0003921F1006. These services include: participating as technical representative for TSST C5I team supporting the TSST Director and LFT&E Manager, developing and revising C5I inputs for TSST test documents, travel to and participation in on-site TSST working group meetings, hot checks and at-sea TSST execution, and completion of the quick look and final TSST C5I analyses and report sections, and for inputs to the Final Survivability Assessment Report (SAR). The base year period of performance is one year from date of contract award.

Place of Performance
Test support will be performed at either the contractor’s facility located in the Norfolk, VA area or onboard CVN 78 USS Gerald R Ford. Working group meetings for the team may take place at the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Carderock Division (NSWCCD), or at other contractor facilities supporting the TSST in the local Washington DC or Norfolk areas.
