National Airspace System (NAS) Voice Recorder Program – Draft SIR

1. Introduction/Description Vendors are encouraged to submit comments regarding this draft NVR Solicitation. This public announcement is being issued in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System Policy 3.2.1.2.1. Interested parties are advised that: This is not a Screening Information Request (SIR) or Request for Proposals; The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals; The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses; and Any costs associated with your response are solely at the interested parties TM expense. The FAA anticipates releasing the final SIR by mid-calendar year 2017 and is asking for any comments to the draft SIR. In addition, the FAA also requests a response to the 5th paragraph (italicized) in Section C.3.4 System. 2. Period of Performance It is anticipated that this contract will have a 10 year period of performance, which will consist of one 2-year base, two 2-year options and four 1-year options. 3. Standard Language This is a Request for Information (RFI). Responding to this notice will not be necessary in order for an offeror to participate in the subsequent acquisition, if any. 4. Delivery Requirement Please provide any responses electronically to Charles McGovern at Charles.McGovern@faa.gov no later than 4:00 PM EST on Monday, January 23, 2017.
