Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE) Follow-on   3

Background
The Department of the Air Force, specifically the Headquarters Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFMC) located at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, is issuing a Request for Proposal for Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE).

The objective of this contract is to provide munition support handling equipment to both domestic and international locations. This solicitation aims to establish an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract that will facilitate the assembly and manufacturing of munitions support equipment as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW).

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for various tasks including:
1. **Security**: Ensuring the security of all equipment.
2. **Refurbishment Efforts**: Providing refurbishment support which includes disassembly, cleaning, sandblasting, painting, plating, protective coat application, stenciling, testing, repair, welding, bending, cutting, fabrication of piece parts and dunnage, component purchases, re-assembly, and disposal of discarded materials.
3. **Equipment Preparation**: Performing sandblasting and surface preparation including cleaning metal surfaces and removing rust and debris.
4. **Equipment Finishing**: Conducting plating processes such as aluminum anodizing or chemical conversion coating and applying paint according to specified military standards (MIL-PRF-23377 and MIL-PRF-85285).
5. **Manufacturing Completion**: Performing proof loading for equipment ranging from 1,000 to 10,000 pounds with Non-Destructive Evaluations (NDE) on critical steel welds as per ASTM standards.
6. **Prototype/New Production**: Manufacturing prototypes and new production munitions support and handling equipment following task orders with specific requirements for assembly and manufacturing processes including machining, painting, cleaning, protective coatings application, sandblasting, stenciling, leak testing, welding, bending, cutting, metal fabrication and assembly.
7. **Calibration**: Maintaining a calibration system compliant with ANSI/NCSL Z540.3 to ensure accuracy in measuring and test equipment.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to various domestic locations within the United States including Alaska and Hawaii as well as designated international bases.
