Description

1. Intent. The Maneuver Support Capability Development Integration Directorate (MS
CDID) will host Maneuver Support & Protection Integration eXperiments 2025 ((MSPIX 25).
MSPIX 25 will examine capabilities and concepts designed to address modernization needs
for Maneuver Support and Protection. MSPIX provides a centralized experimentation and
analysis process for technologies that may provide desired capabilities, verifies critical
operational data, and makes recommendations for further development and additional
improvements based on the analysis. MSPIX 25 will inform future capability requirements in
support of Multi-Domain Operations that will directly align with the Army Modernization
Priorities.
2. Timeline. Submissions are due in accordance with Enclosure 2; MSPIX 25 Submitter's
Guide, at Paragraph A. All dates are projected and may shift.
3. Experiment Objectives. The MSPIX25 Experiment Objective follows. See Enclosures
1 & 3 for more information regarding desired capabilities.
Objective: Assess potential material opportunities to better enable Maneuver Support
& Protection contributions to Multi Domain Operations (MDO). Specifically:
A. Capability that provides the Maneuver Commander with predictive and real-time
protection related information.
B. Capability to cross wet gaps.
C. Camouflage & Obscuration.
D. Capability to conduct Toxic Industrial Material (TIM) Site Assessment.
4. Technology Selection Process.
A. All proposals must be submitted electronically to
usarmy.leonardwood.mscoe.mbx.MSPIX@army.mil NLT 30 April 2024. See
Encl 2-5 for detailed instructions on how to submit a proposal for
consideration.
B. Selected technologies will be reviewed by proponent numerous organizations
for sponsorship. Sponsors are responsible for: 1) Identifying linkage to
modernization priorities, 2) Identifying learning demands associated with each
technology, 3) Assisting with the development of employment vignettes and
identifying skill sets (MOS, ASI/SQI, etc...) and number of Soldiers required
for each technology, 4) Participation in MSPIX planning meetings, and 5)
identification of how the results will be leveraged after the final report is
completed.
C. Candidate technology participation must be funded by the proposing
organization (aka Technology Providers). Technology providers will pay all
costs associated with including the capability in MSPIX. Typical expenses
include development, transportation, training, and sustaining selected
technologies during the experiment period.
D. The Point of Contact (POC) for technology submissions and questions
pertaining to the selection process at Maneuver Support Battle Lab is Mr.

The goal is to inform future capability requirements in support of Multi-Domain Operations that align with the Army Modernization Priorities.

Work Details
The experiment objectives include assessing potential material opportunities to better enable Maneuver Support & Protection contributions to Multi Domain Operations (MDO). This involves evaluating capabilities such as predictive and real-time protection related information, crossing wet gaps, camouflage & obscuration, and conducting Toxic Industrial Material (TIM) Site Assessment.

The technology selection process involves submitting proposals electronically by 30 April 2024, reviewing selected technologies for sponsorship, and funding all costs associated with including the capability in MSPIX. Additionally, selected technologies must obtain necessary safety releases, spectrum clearances, and air worthiness releases. They are also required to sign a Vendor Demonstration Agreement (VDA) and provide New Equipment Training (NET) to Soldiers who will employ their technology during the experiment.

Period of Performance
The milestones for MSPIX 25 are as follows: Technology Call published on 1 February 2024, proposals due by 30 April 2024, Technology Selection Approval & Announcements by 31 May 2024, MSPIX 25 Execution from 5-23 May 2024, and the final report is to be finalized no later than 30 August 2025.
