Background
The Department of Justice (DOJ), Bureau of Prisons, FCI Phoenix, is seeking to continue medical services for inmates. The goal of this contract is to ensure continuity of care until a new multi-year agreement can be negotiated and finalized. The current comprehensive medical contract expired on December 16, 2023, necessitating this sole source acquisition.

Work Details
The agency requires monthly outside medical services to be provided until November 2024. The estimated value of this requirement is $215,000. Naphcare, the incumbent contractor, has agreed to continue providing services at the previously negotiated rates. This arrangement is essential for maintaining uninterrupted medical care during the transition period while a new contract is being established.
