Air Force Nuclear Weapon Center (AFNWC) has determined it necessary to develop a Reentry Vehicle (RV) for the W87-1 warhead that will be deployed on the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Weapon System (WS). Under this solicitation, for TMRR, the contractor will develop a complete preliminary design, develop and demonstrate prototype RVs, create plans necessary for a Milestone B (MS B) decision to enter the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase, and work with the W87-1 and GBSD programs to ensure proper integration. TMRR activities will include risk reduction efforts, prototype flight testing, and RV integration with the GBSD WS and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) warhead. Through market research, companies have self-identified as having prime or subcontractor roles for the Mk21A RV program. Due to the sensitive nature of the requirement documentation, the RFP and all attachments have been made available on an electronic bidder's library to those companies that identified themselves as potentially filling a prime role. A DD 254, Contract Security Classification Specification, was also completed with each interested prime to facilitate passing of classified information. Any interested subcontractors should contact potential primes for information and any subcontracting/teaming agreements. Potential prime contact information is attached to this posting. Any parties interested in a prime role that does not currently have a DD 254 in place or have bidder's library access should submit a request to the primary POC, Ryan Hendricks. Bidder's library access will NOT be given to subcontractors or teaming partners directly.

Finally, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center is authorized to exclude all foreign participation and will at the prime contractor level for subject procurement.
