Midterm Availability on USNS WASHINGTON CHAMBERS   2

Background
The solicitation is for the Midterm Availability on USNS WASHINGTON CHAMBERS. The work involves preparing for and accomplishing the VR, overhaul, or alterations of the USNS WASHINGTON CHAMBERS (T-AKE 11) as specified in the WI package provided in Attachment J-1. The work shall be performed at the contractor’s shipyard. The contractor shall be responsible for management, procurement, production, testing, technical capability and resources, and quality assurance services.

Work Details
The work includes Category 'A' WIs such as preparing for and accomplishing the MTA of the USNS WASHINGTON CHAMBERS (T-AKE 11), providing electrical shore power, potable water, distilled water, bilge water removal, crane usage, and hazardous waste handling. It also includes AGR and ODC with man-hours estimation and optional Category 'B' WIs for physical security at a private contractor's facility and vessel final clean.

The contractor shall provide detailed information on material availability, material control and storage, heavy weather plan, cold weather plan, man-hour chart, growth absorption estimate, facilities survey form, organization chart of key personnel, subcontractor participation plan, and management control and quality assurance.

Period of Performance
The period of performance has been extended from 29 to 45 days.

Place of Performance
All work shall be performed at the contractor’s shipyard.
