Microsystems Technology Office (MTO) Spark Tank Special Notice

Background
The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is hosting the Microsystems Technology Office (MTO) Spark Tank event on July 24–25, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado. This event aims to familiarize participants with MTO’s mission and interest areas, facilitate discussions with potential proposers, and broaden DARPA’s reach to small businesses and educational institutions.

The MTO's mission is to dominate the microsystems ecology militarily and economically through transformative research in microsystems science and technology.

Work Details
The MTO Spark Tank event will feature overview presentations by DARPA personnel, including MTO Program Managers, and provide opportunities for one-on-one engagement through sidebar meetings.

Attendees are required to submit a Capability Summary that describes their core competencies relevant to MTO interests. The event will focus on several thrust areas including:
1) Developing new technologies for creating circuits;
2) Establishing a sustainable microsystem manufacturing ecosystem;
3) Leveraging commercial scaling for defense capabilities.

Specific topics of interest include photonic circuits, quantum circuits, bio/organic circuits, energy management technologies, and advanced semiconductor processing.

Period of Performance
The event will take place over two days from July 24 to July 25, 2025.

Place of Performance
The event will be held at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center in Aurora, Colorado.
