The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New England District is issuing a Solicitation Notice for Membrane Roof Replacement and Masonry Repairs, Pump Station at Fox Point Hurricane Barrier, Providence, RI.

THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Contractor shall replace an existing Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) roof system on a pump station building located in Providence, RI. Work includes all labor, equipment, tools, services, and materials to install a fully adhered 90 mil nominal thickness EPDM roofing system. Work includes demolition and removal of the entire existing EPDM roof system down to the underlying 5 thick concrete roof slab. Work includes masonry demolition of at least 5 rows of brick in the wall adjacent to the roof to remove an existing through wall metal flashing and install a new through wall metal flashing 7 inches higher than the original. The new EPDM roof system shall be designed for high wind coastal conditions and be warrantied for 30 years. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Statement of Work.

This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238160 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a solicitation for the Membrane Roof Replacement and Masonry Repairs at the Pump Station located at Fox Point Hurricane Barrier in Providence, RI.

The mission of the Corps is to provide vital public engineering services in peace and war to strengthen the nation's security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters. The goal of this contract is to replace an existing roof system and perform masonry repairs to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of the pump station.

Work Details
The contractor shall replace an existing Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) roof system on a pump station building located in Providence, RI. This includes:
- All labor, equipment, tools, services, and materials necessary to install a fully adhered 90 mil nominal thickness EPDM roofing system.
- Demolition and removal of the entire existing EPDM roof system down to the underlying 5-inch thick concrete roof slab.
- Masonry demolition of at least 5 rows of brick in the wall adjacent to the roof to remove an existing through wall metal flashing and install a new through wall metal flashing 7 inches higher than the original.
- Installation of a new EPDM roof system designed for high wind coastal conditions with a warranty period of 30 years. All work must comply with the Statement of Work provided.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall commence work within 21 days after receiving Notice to Proceed (NTP) and must complete all work no later than 130 days after NTP.

The construction projects will be performed at 40 Point Street, Providence, RI 02905.
