The Lawton Service Unit (LSU), specifically the Lawton Indian Hospital (LIH) and Anadarko Indian Health Center (AIHC), Indian Health Service (IHS) has a requirement for contracting a medical queue management system that is HIPAA compliant. Services are looking to expand to include LIH patient benefits coordinators, AIHC laboratory, and AIHC pharmacy. The system should provide patient flow management, reduce wait times, increase customer service provided to patients, and provide staff optimization reporting.

Background
The Indian Health Service (IHS), a federal agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, is responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives. The mission of IHS is to enhance the health of these populations by ensuring comprehensive, culturally acceptable personal and public health services are available.

The Lawton Service Unit, which includes the Lawton Indian Hospital (LIH) and Anadarko Indian Health Center (AIHC), has identified a need for a medical queue management system that is HIPAA compliant to improve patient flow management, reduce wait times, enhance customer service, and optimize staff reporting.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a medical queue management system that includes the following functionalities:
1. Workflow software that shows waiting patients, their current service duration, and cumulative wait time.
2. Software that categorizes patients based on their service department during their visit (e.g., screening, verifying).
3. Capability to track which services patients have utilized (e.g., refill requests).
4. Ability to enter comments and select from pre-established statements regarding patient needs to avoid duplication of efforts.
5. Software that tracks patient wait times with a visual display for prioritization based on longest wait time first.
