Background
The Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) is a large-scale survey administered by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) since 1996. It collects data on health services, costs, insurance, and demographic information from families and individuals across the United States. The MEPS-HC is a subsample of households from the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS) and employs a panel design with data collection occurring every 6 months over a two-and-a-half-year period.
The survey includes face-to-face interviews, virtual interviews, and phone interviews.

Work Details
The project includes tasks such as project management, instrumentation development, sample design and selection, field staff preparation, data collection, data management and processing, data files and documentation, and survey documentation. Specific tasks include project meetings, instrument development in English and Spanish, sample design implementation, field staff recruitment and training, data collection of household data and supplemental questionnaires, data management and processing plan, public-use file disclosure review, and annual methodology report.

Period of Performance
IDIQ Ordering Period: 5 years; Task Order 1 Base period: 5 months; Task Order 1 Option Years 1-6: 12 months each; Option Year 7: 1 month

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed nationwide across the 50 states and District of Columbia.
