Background
The Marine Corps Base Quantico is seeking services for the removal and disposal of mattresses as part of their commitment to environmental responsibility. This contract is aimed at ensuring that the mattresses are disposed of in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while promoting sustainable materials management. The solicitation is a total small business set-aside.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform the following tasks:

1. Collect up to 1,302 twin-sized mattresses from designated pickup sites.
2. Coordinate with the designated point of contact (POC) to arrange suitable times for collection.
3. Transport collected mattresses to an approved recycling facility in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring no mattresses are left behind or damaged during transit.
4. Ensure all vehicles/containers used for transportation meet safety regulations and are adequately equipped for handling the mattresses.
5. Dispose of and recycle the mattresses in accordance with all applicable recycling laws and regulations, minimizing landfill waste and promoting sustainable practices.
6. Provide a disposal and recycling report within five business days after service completion, detailing the total number of mattresses collected, pickup date and location, and destination recycling facility.
