Market Survey - Replace existing window washdown system at Wilmington, NC, ATCT

Background
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has initiated a project to replace the existing window washdown system at the Wilmington, NC Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT). The goal of this contract is to enhance operational efficiency and safety by ensuring that condensation is effectively cleared from the control cab windows.

This market survey aims to gauge interest from capable small businesses in undertaking this project.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Remove the existing expansion tank, chemical surfactant tank, pump, and backflow preventer as indicated on demolition plans.
2. Remove all existing copper and plastic tubing, spray nozzles, and solenoid valves as shown in the demolition plans.
3. Remove the existing conduit and control wiring attached to the railing of the catwalk.
4. Install new chemical surfactant tank, expansion tank, and reduced pressure backflow preventer as per new plumbing plans.
5. Install new piping, solenoids, and nozzles according to specified piping plans.
6. Install new electric and control wiring as indicated in electrical plans.
7. Connect wiring and piping per schematic diagrams to ensure proper functionality according to operational sequences outlined in project documents.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence upon issuance of a notice to proceed and will continue during normal working hours (Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) until completion.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at Wilmington International Airport (ILM), specifically at the Air Traffic Control Tower located at 2220 Control Tower Dr, Wilmington, NC.
