Background
The contracted firm shall be capable of providing all supervision, labor, transportation, tools, materials, supplies, vehicles, and equipment necessary to perform maintenance, repair, inspection, monitoring and installation of armory, secure spaces, and building perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) for Marine Corps Reserve Centers (MCRC). The primary purpose of the IDS is to provide an immediate warning signal of any unauthorized entry, attempted penetration, or malfunction within the protected areas. IDSs are required to complement the structural standards of Marine Facilities and interior controlled areas by providing continuous 24-hour, 7-days per week monitored surveillance.

Work Details
The existing IDS systems use Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) XR550 control panels. A Central Station IDS is required for the operation of the alarm devices and electrical circuits. The IDS must be managed by a commercial firm with an operator in attendance at all times to monitor signals and report any unauthorized entry, attempted entry, or system malfunction within the protected area.

Marine Forces Reserves (MARFORRES) Intrusion Detection Services (IDS) are required nationwide for Marine Corps Reserve Centers (MCRC).
