Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure 2 Marco Handy Ref-K Portable Auto Refractor/Keratometers for the Optometry Section of Surgical Service at the VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Healthcare System. The purpose of this procurement is to facilitate the increased demand for patient optical care and improve efficiency and continuity across different locations.

Work Details
The specific product required is the Marco Handy Ref-K Portable Auto Refractor/Keratometer. The instrument must have the ability to measure the degree of refractive error in eyes between -20.00 to +20.00 D (0.12/.025D increments) axis from 0 to 180 degrees (1/5-degree increments) and cylindrical power from 0 to 12.00D (0.12/.025D increments). It must also have a full Graphic LCD with a 3.5-inch color screen, focusing indicator, supine position mode, cataract measurement mode, pupil size measurements, retroillumination image observation, right and left detections, lightweight compact design (no greater than 6lbs), memory data management, summary screen, printer function, and the ability to measure keratometry and contact lens.

The delivery schedule for the Handy Ref-K Portable Auto Refractor/Keratometers is from November 30, 2023, to January 29, 2024.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to the VA Harlingen Healthcare Center (HCC) Receiving Dock located at 2601 Veterans Drive, Harlingen, TX 78550.
