Description

Requirement for Crowd Control Barricades is to keep spectators safe from moving aircraft, clear of emergency lanes, and to prevent access to secure areas during the Southern California Air Show at March Field on 7-15 April 2025. Contractor shall provide, deliver, do the physical lifting, unload, and move combined total linear feet of 24,596 barricades into place. In Accordance with the SOW. Barricades shall be metal pedestrian barricades between 36 inches and 48 inches from ground level in height. Barricades shall be connectable and able to be disconnected without hand or mechanical tools. Barricades shall be able to remain stationary when freestanding and when connected with perpendicular wind speeds up to 25 miles per hour. Barricades shall have poles or accouterments allowing lightweight snow fencing to be attached using plastic zip ties. Barricades will be weighed down by concrete blocks or standard filled sandbags without use of rope, wires, or chains.

Background
The March Air Reserve Base (MARB) hosts the biannual Open House March Air Show event, which draws over 500,000 visitors and approximately 50,000 vehicles daily.
The goal of this contract is to ensure public safety by providing crowd control barricades that keep spectators safe from moving aircraft, clear of emergency lanes, and prevent access to secure areas during the Southern California Air Show at March Field from April 7-15, 2025.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a total of 24,596 linear feet of metal pedestrian barricades.
These barricades must meet the following specifications:
- Height: Between 36 inches and 48 inches from ground level.
- Connectable: Barricades must be connectable and able to be disconnected without hand or mechanical tools.
- Stability: They must remain stationary when freestanding and when connected with perpendicular wind speeds up to 25 miles per hour.
- Fencing Attachment: Barricades shall have poles or accouterments allowing lightweight snow fencing to be attached using plastic zip ties.
- Weighting: Barricades will be weighed down by concrete blocks or standard filled sandbags without the use of rope, wires, or chains.
The contractor is responsible for delivering, physically lifting, unloading, and moving the barricades into place as per the Statement of Work (SOW).
