Background
The Indian Health Service, Gallup Service Unit (GSU), located in Gallup, New Mexico 87301 intends to negotiate a sole source award with Electric Center for maintenance of two-way radios. In accordance with 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) Contracting Officers may solicit from only one source if the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source is reasonably available (e.g. urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization). Electric Center provides maintenance services of two-way radios for GIMC facility.

Radio Maintenance Support
Gallup Indian Medical Center
1. PROJECT BACKGROUND:
1.1. In previous year, the Electronic Center has been providing Two-Way radios maintenance services for Gallup Service Unit. The Contractor is familiar with Gallup Service Unit's Two-Way Radio usage, requirements and has been providing services to GIMC since 2009. Radios need to be properly maintained to allow for the communication between employees working in the field to employees working in the hospital, i.e. the Public Health Nursing (PHN) Department, as well as for communication within the hospital when phone/internet services are not working.
2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
2.1. GIMC is currently owns and utilizes two way radios for staff use. This purchase is to initiate a maintenance plan for all radios, and associated equipment. Having a local contractor will eliminate excessive time to do repairs and updates and have the radio back in service as soon as possible. This project is for the maintenance of 200 XPR 3500E 2-Way radios. This includes maintenance and technical reprogramming and replacement/repair according to the warranty coverage directives.

4. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:
4.1. Maintenance Service Contract Dates: Date of award through 12 months
5. DELIVERABLE SCHEDULE:
5.1. Contractor Responsibilities:
5.1.1. The contractor shall provide a list of equipment detailing the make, model, and serial number, and finish material, electrical and technical characteristics of each item of equipment to be furnished for approval.
5.1.2.The contractor shall provide documentation of deliverables, which will be submitted through GIMC Finance and Division of Acquisitions Department.
5.The contractor shall review, approve and sign all final document deliverables.
6.WARRANTY:
6.Contractor shall warranty that all provided material/equipment are non-refurbished, free from defects, workmanship will remain operational for a period of one year from date of final acceptance of the facility.
