The New York District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) proposes to perform maintenance dredging of Great Kills Harbor Federal Channel. The dredged material would be dredged and subsequently placed at the Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS). The project scope consists of removing approximately 200,000 cubic yards of dredged material from Great Kills Harbor. Dredging would be required to a depth of -10 feet and - 8 feet Mean Lower Low Water (MLLW) plus 2 feet allowable overdepth, respectively. The dredged material consists primarily of sand and gravel.

Background
The New York District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is proposing to perform maintenance dredging of Great Kills Harbor Federal Channel. The project scope involves removing approximately 200,000 cubic yards of dredged material from Great Kills Harbor, primarily consisting of sand and gravel.
The dredged material will be subsequently placed at the Historic Area Remediation Site (HARS).

Work Details
The work includes mobilization and demobilization, dredging of material from Great Kills Harbor to a depth of -10 feet MLLW plus 2 feet allowable overdepth, and black box monitoring as per specifications Section 35 20 23.10 18.

Period of Performance
The contract requires completion of the entire basic work within thirty-three (33) calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Great Kills Harbor, NY Federal Navigation Project.
