Army Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) awards a Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) based, single Fixed Price with Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract consisting of four one-year ordering periods to Fontaine Commercial Trailer, Inc. This contract is a follow-on production contract resulting from a successful prototype project under the Detroit Arsenal Automotive (DA2) Other Transaction Agreement W56HZV-16-9-0001, Project Agreement number DA2-PA020A under the authority of 10 United States Code (U.S.C.) 4022 Authority of the Department of Defense to carry out certain prototype projects. The request for proposal (RFP) was sole source to Fontaine Commercial Trailer, Inc., the successful Project Agreement Holder under the DA2 Other Transaction Agreement W56HZV-16-9-0001, Project Agreement number DA2-PA020A. Only prototype PAHs that have been deemed to have built a successful prototype were afforded the opportunity to compete for the production contract under solicitation number W56HZV20R0208. As a result, this contract was awarded sole source to Fontaine Commercial Trailer, Inc.

The maximum contract quantity is 227each M172A2s. The minimum guarantee is 14 each Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) quantities and associated Test Service Representative (TSR) Support. This acquisition includes procurement of LRIP quantities, Production Verification Test (PVT) Support, TSR Support, logistic products, Authorized Stockage List (ASL), Advanced Manufacturing Technical Data, and production quantities.
