The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Louis District, is seeking businesses that are interested in and capable of constructing the Lock Foundation and Site Preparation for Lock and Dam 25. Lock and Dam 25 is located approximately 61.5 river miles upstream from St. Louis and 241.5 miles above the mouth of the Ohio River. The contract is anticipated to be a Firm-Fixed-Price Construction contract. The anticipated period of performance for this project is 365 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed (NTP). ---- Amd 0001 provides uncorrupted set of Plans.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Louis District, is seeking businesses capable of constructing the Lock Foundation and Site Preparation for Lock and Dam 25, which is located approximately 61.5 river miles upstream from St. Louis and 241.5 miles above the mouth of the Ohio River.

The goal of this contract is to support the Navigation Ecosystem Sustainability Program (NESP) by ensuring the construction meets safety and health standards while facilitating effective project execution.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for various construction tasks including:
1. Developing a comprehensive safety and health policy that ensures a safe workplace for all employees involved in the project.
2. Outlining safety program goals and objectives.
3. Establishing policies regarding non-compliance with safety requirements.
4. Implementing procedures to hold managers accountable for safety.
5. Ensuring that a designated Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) is present on-site during all work activities.
6. Maintaining compliance with the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and EM 385-1-1 standards by all subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors at the work site.
7. Conducting necessary training for all employees according to applicable federal, state, and local requirements prior to commencing work.
8. Performing daily inspections as required by EM 385-1-1 to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this project is 365 calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed (NTP).

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Lock and Dam 25, located approximately 61.5 river miles upstream from St. Louis, Missouri.
