LMI - Load Moment Indicator for Broderson IC-180-1A Mobile Crane

Background
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the procurement of a Load Moment Indicator (LMI) for the Broderson IC-250-3B Mobile Crane. The current LMI has failed and is no longer serviceable, impacting critical mission support at the agency. The goal of this contract is to replace the failed LMI to ensure compliance with safety standards and provide crane operators with essential operational information.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a new Load Moment Indicator compatible with the Broderson 30K lbs. Mobile Crane, Model IC-180-1A. The LMI must meet or exceed the following specifications:

- Minimum display size of 4.3 inches with fixed mounting hardware.
- High resolution LCD screen readable in direct sunlight and dimmable at night.
- Integral memory of 2GB and processor speed of 600/800 MHz.
- Inputs and outputs on the CAN bus network.
- Self-diagnostic detection of system malfunctions.
- Capability to upload new information via USB without special tools.
- Display rating up to IP67, suitable for -20° C to 70°C (-4°F to 158°F), optional extended temperature range -40° C to 85° C (-40°F to 185°F).
- Supply voltage between 11 to 36 V DC.
- Audible and visual alarms, output connection for lock-out circuit for overload and anti-two block (ATB).
- Self-diagnostic mode with fault log, CPU and display integrated into one unit.
- Installation must include an anemometer integrated into the display with LMI readings.
- A two-year parts warranty and on-site labor warranty at NASA's Armstrong Flight Research Center is required.

Period of Performance
Delivery is required no later than January 30, 2025.
